Legends for Little Locals

‘Legends for Little Locals’ are individuals, groups or places in our community who positively impact on the lives of children, and we want to share their stories to inspire others to emulate this goodwill.

A community’s assets and challenges greatly influence children’s development. It’s in everyone’s interests that our children can grow and thrive where they live.

We are looking for local legends who contribute to making the Wimmera a great place for kids. We are looking for all efforts, big and small. It could be the fellow in the shop who gives the kids a free stamp, to a volunteer coach who goes the extra mile, or that little town where all the shopkeepers welcome little faces, even the pub has the best kids meals!

To start the conversation, we want to celebrate these local legends via social media and, in some instances, the newspaper and radio.

Let’s get the Wimmera inspired to work towards a common goal of making our region the best place for children to grow and thrive.
