Our Work
Paediatric Health
The By Five Paediatric Project is an innovative rural access model aimed at providing children in the Wimmera Southern Mallee timely paediatric care, whilst building the capacity of local professionals and families to respond to child health and developmental concerns.
Early Childhood Education and Care
Access to high-quality Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) is known to support children to thrive.
We are committed to working with our communities to ensure our rural children don’t miss out because of where they live.
Antenatal Care
Antenatal care refers to the planned visits between a pregnant woman and a midwife or doctor to assess and improve the wellbeing of the mother and baby throughout pregnancy. Effective models of antenatal care focus on the individual’s needs and preferences, collaboration, and continuity of care.
Allied Health
Allied health professionals are essential to the physical, social and psychological wellbeing of people living in rural and remote Australia. They are integral to the care of these communities, whose capacity to achieve optimal health outcomes is limited by inequitable access to appropriate health services. They are also integral to the economic development of rural and remote populations, particularly in relation to workforce participation and educational outcomes.
Thriving Communities
By Five are committed to improving community conditions known to support children and families.
We are interested in how evidence regarding community level factors that affect child development translate to rural and remote environments.
Parenting Support
By Five are interested in the diversity of parents in the Wimmera Southern Mallee, how they seek support and information regarding parenting, and how services and communities can best harness local assets to support parents and families in place.
