By Five Shines at Longerenong!
The annual Western Victorian Careers Expo, the largest in the state, was held on the 25th of June at Longerenong Field Days. This premier regional event provided a ‘one-stop-shop’ of vocational information to Western Victorian students, school leavers, job seekers, career changers, those returning to work and people considering further study or training.
By Five joined forces with WSM ECEC Workforce Action Group, Are Able, Emerge, Federation University/Tafe and The Department of Education’s Kinder Quality Improvement Branch to create a walk through virtual Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) centre at the expo. Guests could enjoy a range of hands-on experiences that demonstrated how children learn through play and how interesting and enjoyable working in the early years space can be for professionals.
Taking part in the expo was a great opportunity for By Five and our partners to not only highlight the importance of the first five years in children’s lives, but to showcase the fundamental education that takes place in quality ECEC services and the vital role that educators play in the early years.
