Co-consulted with one of the 500 children seen by one of our RCH Paediatricians,
Attended one of hundreds of collaborative learning events,
Read our Antenatal Reports on access needs across the Wimmera, with the voices of Women at the centre,
Contributed to the Victorian Maternity Taskforce submission,
Engaged in conversations about modelling sustainable rural Early Childhood Education and Care,
Joined the joint briefing to the Productivity Commission on solutions to the Childcare crisis,
Met with Federal or State representatives during ministerial visits, or
Attended the Victorian Children’s Roundtable
Your community has been represented, and you can hear their stories.
Whether through your local schools, kindergartens, parents, community members, educators, Local Government representatives, GPs, health services, or businesses – voices from across the Wimmera have been at the heart of By Five.
By Five’s current funding is set to end on June 30, 2025.
Since launching, we’ve worked alongside families and service providers to break down the barriers preventing Wimmera children from accessing what they need to thrive. With a focus on Primary Health, Antenatal care, Tertiary Paediatrics, and Early Childhood Education, we’ve designed and tested solutions tailored to our region’s needs – because we know one-size-fits-all doesn’t work for rural communities.
Although we are being considered for renewed funding, in today’s tight fiscal environment, local and community-led initiatives like By Five are at serious risk.
