Federal Shadow Minister Visits Hopetoun & Beulah

The Hon. Angie Bell, Federal shadow minister for Early Childhood Education, accompanied Hon Dr. Anne Webster on a visit to Hopetoun and Beulah where the dire childcare situation was once again highlighted as an issue for rural children, families and these vitally important towns.

Parents and professionals shared the direct impact this is having on being able to run a school and a business, along with impacts on mental health and livability of the region.

By Five has been very strong and clear on the need for consolidating Early Years education, the use of a funding model that enables providers to deliver services and investing in a strong workforce strategy as key actions to resolving this long-standing issue.
