Kinder Transition Trial

For our little people (and families) moving from Kindergarten to School can be both an exciting and overwhelming time. Our local Early Years communities have been working hard to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible; completing transition statements (TLDS), meeting with families, talking with and visiting schools and enjoying visits from schools. It is a huge process during a busy time of year.

To support with this process, By Five facilitated a trial handover session with some our Horsham kindergartens and Primary Schools at Federation University. A group of enthusiastic staff gathered together for a quick cuppa and then spent some time in a professional handover session in small groups. We’ve had some great feedback regarding the event and aim to continue to refine the project in 2024.

Thank you to the amazing educators who came up with these ideas and were able to come along and support the trial and share a wealth of knowledge.
