ECEC Happenings - an Update!

Workforce Action Group… In Action!

Over the past month the ECEC Workforce Action group sought feedback and ideas on how they might best be able to support the workforce ‘in place’. A survey was conducted & a ‘gather & discuss’ evening was held, with information being reviewed and possible initiatives to test and trial discussed.

The survey is open until the 7th of June.

Early Years Strategy Launched

On 7 May 2024, the Minister for Social Services, the Hon Amanda Rishworth MP, and the Minister for Early Childhood Education, the Hon Dr Anne Aly MP, launched the Early Years Strategy 2024–2034.  

The Early Years Strategy sets out the government’s vision that all children in Australia thrive in their early years.  

We look forward to ensuring this vision reaches the Wimmera!

Early Learning Leadership Forum

Earlier this month By Five were guests at the Early Learning Leadership Forum in Dunkeld, organised by the Early Childhood Improvement Branch – Wimmera South West Area. It was a positive day & great opportunity to listen to individuals and organisations who are positively adapting and developing policy and plans in preparation for the Pre-prep roll out.

It’s always great having a seat and a voice at the table!
