Children’s Week 2023

Children’s Week is a National celebration that recognises the talents, skills, achievements, and rights of all children.

To celebrate this year, By Five in partnership with West Wimmera Shire, Hindmarsh Shire, Yarriambiack Shire, Northern Grampians Shire and Horsham Rural City, are creating ‘Street Art Galleries’ around our towns by showcasing children’s artwork in local business windows.
It is a wonderful occasion to celebrate the creativity and imagination of our region’s talented young artists and an opportunity to come together in making the Wimmera Southern Mallee the best place for all children to thrive.

How wonderful it is to see the little artists of Goroke kindergarten involved in the Children’s Week Street Gallery! A lovely morning spent creating their masterpices, before walking to the local IGA, where they are now proudly displayed ready to be enjoyed by the community.

Make sure to take a stroll down your local street and check out the artistic displays around your town! There are also a number of diverse events and activities being held across our region that invite children and families to relax, play, and join in a wide range of leisure activities. See the full list below.
