Childcare For Rural Communities

Being able to access childcare in rural communities, shouldn’t be about luck or viability. Equitable access to quality childcare and early education requires multi-government planning and community input.

Across the Wimmera Southern Mallee, North Central and Mallee regions, we are working with local governments, early years providers and the community to capture the complexity of quality childcare in a rural setting. Together, we are supporting the drive for improvement.

We are excited to be hosting a forum in October in Warracknabeal to discuss this issue around service delivery, infrastructure and workforce solution. It is essential to meet the childcare needs of rural communities now and well into the future.
